Winter Wedding Escort Cards

At virtually every wedding there is a need for some form of escort card system to help direct guests to their dinner tables. The standard white tent cards will certainly get the job done, but they are not particularly creative. These are some great ideas for escort cards for winter weddings that will be sure to make a fantastic first impression on your guests.
Snowflakes are one of the best winter motifs. They can be the basis for your crystal bridal jewelry, an accent on your wedding invitations, and they also make terrific escort cards. Buy wooden snowflakes which are painted white (or plain ones and paint them yourself); they are readily available at craft shops. Write the name and table number for each guest on one of the snowflakes with a metallic paint marker. The final step is to hang them on a small tree at the entrance to your reception location. If you are having a holiday wedding, the snowflakes would be wonderful on a small Christmas tree. For a Winter Wonderland themed affair, create a tree from branches which are decorated with strands of clear glass beads, crystal teardrops, and other glittery accents.
Votive candles can be used to create unique and inviting escort cards for a winter wedding. Choose pretty glass votive holders and either write directly on them with a paint marker or tie a cute little tag to each one with the name and table information for each guest. A small tea light inside will make the candle display safer, as it will keep the flames well contained within the holder. Ask someone to be in charge of lighting them at the last minute right before the guests enter. The candles can be arranged in a long row or in several rows with lots of space around them to make them easy for the guests to pick up without touching the other candles. Talk about a glowing entrance!
If you like the idea of the traditional tent style escort cards, they can still be dressed up with a wintry twist. Tie a small tartan bow to the top of each card for a bit of holiday cheer. It is super easy to do yourself with basic tent cards; simply punch two holes in the front of the card near the top edge, and put a short piece of ribbon through the front of the holes, cross it in the back, then bring the tails back out of the hole to create a little bow. For a New Year's wedding with plenty of sparkling crystal jewelry and a silver embroidered bridal gown, substitute a shimmering silver ribbon for the tartan.
A really fun idea is to greet your guests with escort cards made from a favorite winter time treat, such as gingerbread men. Line the little guys up and tie a small banner around the neck of each one with the guest's name and table. For even more fun, decorate the gingerbread men to look like brides and grooms. Your guests will be certain to enjoy this tasty twist on the traditional escort card!
There are numerous additional winter motifs which lend themselves to wedding escort cards. A die cut pair of mittens, one labeled with the name and the other with the table, can be tied together with a piece of red yarn and laid flat or pinned to a clothesline. Berries, birds, and snowmen are other fun motifs to experiment with. There are so many creative ideas for winter wedding escort cards that it would almost be a shame to stick with the plain white ones!

Wedding DIY Project: Escort Cards for Your Wedding Theme

                                                                                             Call Me Now

If you are looking for a fun craft project for your wedding, it can be great to make your own escort cards. This is a project that will really allow your creative side to run wild, yet it is also a "safe" DIY project, unlike the big jobs such making your own wedding cake or bridal gown. Custom escort cards are also a terrific way to bring your wedding theme into your reception. Get inspired by these neat ideas for DIY wedding escort cards.
Brides find numerous ways to bring their wedding themes to life, and making unique escort cards is a terrific addition to your list. Imagine you were having a beach wedding. You will walk down the aisle to a steel drum band, and your bridesmaids will wear crystal starfish bridesmaid jewelry. The perfect escort cards to greet your guests as they enter your reception should carry on with the beach vibe. A very easy project is to write names and table numbers on sand dollars and nestle them in a bed of sand in a shallow box. It couldn't be simpler, yet it will really enhance your beach theme in a way that plain white tent cards never could.
Nautical motifs are always popular for weddings, and readily lend themselves to DIY escort cards. A very festive idea is to make little nautical flags and put the name of each guest on one. It would look very cool to use a variety of patterned fabrics decorated with designs like stripes, stars, anchors, and so forth. Hang a heavy piece of rope between two trees or in a corner of the reception room, and clip each "flag" to it. The bunting of flags will add a very festive nautical detail to your reception venue, and your guests are sure to admire your creativity.
Having a garden wedding? There are some delightful possibilities for DIY escort cards in your wedding theme. A very cute idea is to plant flowers in tiny glazed ceramic pots to use for the table cards. To add the names and table numbers, there are a few good options. One is to inscribe the names on those metal garden stakes designed for labeling plants in a garden. Another idea is to write names on paper or fabric leaves and attach them to the pots. A third idea is to paint the ceramic pots with chalkboard paint and write directly on the pots with chalk. Choose a plant that suits the overall style of your wedding. Good ideas include herbs, pansies, and succulents.
Autumn leaf theme weddings are very popular in the fall. If your dream wedding includes bridesmaids in orange dresses wearing crystal leaf bridesmaid jewelry, a falling leaf design wedding cake, and a flower girl tossing leaves instead of petals, this is the perfect motif for your nuptials. A fantastic DIY escort card project for a fall leaf wedding is to create a tree from Manzanita branches to hang in the entryway of your reception space. Suspend leaves

Escort Redline - The Best Radar Detector?

                                                                      Call Me Now

The Escort Redline is the top of the line radar detector available from Escort - a top company in police radar and laser detection technology. This unit has an expansive feature set, excellent sensitivity, and unmatched selectivity, but is it as good in practice as it sounds on paper? Overall, from our testing, we definitely think that it is.
All top radar detectors have good range, but the sensitivity of the Escort Redline is above all other radar detectors available at this time. This means if you have a Redline, you'll be able to detect police radar from farther away, which increases the amount of time you have to slow down before you reach the police officer. This unit detects all bands of police radar (X-band, K-band, and Ka-band) and it has excellent performance across all bands.
The Escort Redline also has unmatched selectivity of radar alerts. It is very good at determining whether an alert is caused by a police radar gun, or by another radar detector in a nearby car. We've used other brands of radar detectors, and we have to say that the rejection algorithms in the Escort and Beltronics radar detectors far exceed everything else out there. We've never gotten an alert from a radar detector in another car while using our Escort Redline and we attribute that to the fact that the Redline does a great job in rejecting junk radar signals.
Feature wise, the Escort Redline contains almost everything you could imagine. Some of the standout features include detection and display of multiple radar signals on one screen, numeric radar frequency display, and dual antennas for extreme range.
So what is the Redline lacking? First off, it relies too much on its sensitivity and doesn't have the reactivity of other units. This may be an issue if the police officer turns on and off their radar gun as quickly as possible to record speeds. In this situation, the Redline may not alert to the radar signal at all. If you are looking for the best detector for reactivity, you should look into the Valentine One. The Valentine One also contains another feature that the Redline is missing - arrows that indicate whether the radar source is in front of you or behind. This unit also doesn't have any GPS capabilities like the Escort Passport 9500ix. We have grown to rely on the ability to lock out false signals by location that GPS detectors provide to us and really missed it when we tested this unit. Also, if you need to be warned of red light or speed cameras, you'll want to look elsewhere as the Redline doesn't have that feature.
The bottom line is that if you are looking for a radar detection unit that has the longest range possible, excellent false signal rejection, and and impressive feature set, the Escort Redline is for you. If you are looking for a highly reactive unit or a unit that indicates if the radar signal is ahead or behind you, you should look elsewhere. From our testing, we definitely think this is one of the top units on the market and would be hard pressed to find an overall better device.
